If I could, I would spend all nights in the fog. Until, of course, I see someone with a hook.

Chaser pill, and Mcdonald’s McMuffin breakfast

Posted in General by Bes on Jul 27, 2006

I was hanging out with a very close friend Monday night when I had about a glass to drink. I hadn’t eaten anything all day, so the food and the drink felt quite refreshing for the moment. Driving back home, however, I felt a headache brewing rapidly until it felt like a migraine. I came back home and took a Chaser plus pill, even though I wasn’t having a hangover and had less than a glass to drink. Maybe it was because of not eating anything earlier in the day, or maybe because of the fact that I’m getting old; I’m not sure.

Whatever the reason, I went to sleep before midnight, something I hadn’t done for over a month. I woke up 5 hours later, fresh and without any headache. I went to a nearby McDonald’s drive thru and started to order their usual menu when I was interrupted and told by the McDonald’s staff that only breakfast was being served at that time. That came as a surprise, as I hadn’t realized that it was time for breakfast already. I knew McDonald’s burgers were usually small, so I ordered 4 different breakfast McMuffins and 2 hash browns to cater to my appetite. I came back home and took a look at the breakfast, only to find that everything was extremely small, just like their super sized burgers. Everything tasted bad except the hash browns, and the hash browns were also almost bigger than the McMuffins. I stopped feeling hungry after I finished the first McMuffin. Now I know how to try to stop any urge to eat something in the future; I’ll simply get a McMuffin.

Why is the McDonald’s menu so expensive compared to what one actually gets in a meal? Sure, adding honey syrup in breakfast items might be a blast for many, but the rest of the food is still the same. While millions of people do love such menu items, millions others probably hate it because of getting so little for so much money. All of the items on the breakfast menu are also basically the same, with almost 8 different types of McMuffins having exactly the same thing; the only different is how the eggs are cooked most of the time. McDonald’s burgers keep getting smaller and smaller, and most of the breakfast menu simply tastes bad. I’ve had breakfast menu from McDonald’s before in different areas, and the quality and quantity hasn’t improved at all.

How did you have your breakfast on Tuesday, or today, and what did you have? What did you do Monday night, or last night before you went to sleep? I still have the remaining 3 McMuffins in the fridge, which should be in the trash instead, not because they’re 3 days old but because they’re McDonald’s McMuffins. If anyone’s hungry, I can mail them to you free of charge. Food should never be wasted, even if it’s a mutated form of bread and egg that claims to be food.

    Welcome to WordPress, methinks? :)

Well, I don’t remember my food from one moment to the next lately it seems… I’m seriously considering starving myself. :P

Hey! You changed to WP! LOL. Anyways… Heheh, I haven’t had any McDonalds in years!!! I’ve been “boycotting” them. LOL. Never had their breakfast items either…

Anyways, hmm… I think I’ve been having cereal for breakfast the past couple of days… LOL.

it’s confirmed that you’re getting older. look at the long winding complain you have for just a breakfast experience. i pity McD for having a customer like you…. *shaking my head*. you know why the portion are so small? because the value of money has drop, my dear! if you want a big portion they gotta increase the price. then, you’ll be nagging all the way that it’s expensive.
i rather learn how to cook pan cake for breakfast… that’s why i never had breakfast in my life. just a glass of milk will make my day

Yes, WP. Thank you :). It’s a heavily modified version of WP that I’ve been tweaking for weeks now, and need to keep tweaking a few things. What made you think it was WP? I’m aiming for it to have the exact look as before, though a few things like font sizes may look a bit different.

Is there anything you would like to see changed/added/removed? Please let me know. :D

    lol @ “considering starving” yourself.

Yes :) Now it’s much easier to add things things to the site. I’ll be adding a few things soon.

As I asked Valerie, is there anything you would like to see changed/added/removed? Please let me know :D (wow, I wrote all of that again instead of copy pasting. hmmm)

Oh you’re lucky not to have had junk food in years. Good for you! Cereal is better than a greasy burger/McMuffin and soda. Nice. :)

    :O!!!

  7. Sara :

I like only the organic foods. One of my friend has difficuilties with the McD breakfast.

  8. Bes :

Organic foods are good. When you say difficulties, do you mean health issues or being addicted?
