Today is Thursday, April 12th, 2007. That means I have the 4th winner for the Reader Appreciation Week today. There are a total of two updates today. The first update is to announce the winner for today. The second update is to announce updates on the 2nd winner replacement. The third update is to announce a replacement winner for the 3rd RAW winner.

Raurie is the 4th April 2007 RAW winner!

The random number for today was 269, and that means Raurie is the winner for today’s Reader Appreciation Week giveaway! Raurie was a volunteer worker who worked with me and managed some of the several shelters during the Hurricane Katrina and Rita times, and also in helping affected people in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. Raurie was kind enough to not only run her assigned shelter zones as a volunteer, but also to visit mine almost every night and offer constructive criticism at a time of chaos when many volunteers simply wanted to do things their own way and not listen to others. She also helped me communicate with many of the Spanish-speaking shelter residents, who would have otherwise thought a hyper Bes was simply blabbing on and on about something.

She commented once on my site on an entry that Stephanie posted about me being stabbed, something that should probably not be brought up again. I have e-mailed Raurie about the prize. Raurie, please contact me within 24 hours and claim any prize. Also, I would be more happy if you chose something for yourself instead of donating it away, as you already did more than what I imagined others would do during times of confusion! This should hopefully make up for the times when I would rush to the shelters in the middle of the night, forgetting to bring any water with me, and Raurie would always offer one of her water bottles when I got thirsty. :p j/k.

Stacee is the new 3rd April 2007 RAW Winner

The 3rd April 2007 RAW Winner, Lisa Saarloos, has unfortunately not responded back to me. Because of that, I have chosen a new replacement winner for the 3rd April 2007 Winner, which means things are getting way too complicated for a simple living being like Bes.

I chose 5 as the random number to be replacement for Lisa, and that number turned out to be Stacee. Congratulations Stacee! You are the 3rd April 2007 Raw Winner! Stacee has been commenting on this site for a long time, and you can read some of her excellent comments in many of my recent posts also. Stacee works at one of the coolest companies on the planet, and she has also made some very nice WordPress themes on her site, Chase The Stars. Some of those themes are so famous, you might recognize them the instant you see them; an example is the Girl in Green theme. The best thing about Stacee is that she lives near me! Or wait, do I live near her as I moved up here? Hmmm. [/ok, end of advertisement now.]

I am still waiting for the 2nd Prize Winner Replacement to respond

I forgot to e-mail the 2nd Prize Winner Replacement, Sawai, yesterday. “WHAT?? BES CAN FORGET THINGS??!!” you ask. Yes, Bes can. Hard to believe, isn’t it? I e-mail Sawai late last night when I remembered, so I have given him more time to get back to me. Come on Sawai, it is better for me to get the torture over with by giving you a prize instead of moving on and finding a replacement winner! Hurry, claim a prize and end my misery faster please. :p
