3 site updates coming soon
While the Penguin may have been going through a midlife crisis for a while now, the site itself has been acting very calm for a few months now. I’ll be making 3 major changes to the site soon, starting with the first change that will take place this week. I’ll be converting the site into a better backend with more robust code and also have several tweaks around the site to allow for more flexibility in the future.
I’ll perform this first upgrade this coming Friday, the 28th of July, 2006. The site may be down for at least a day while I make the changes and test a few things. You only need to sit back and relax, and watch of course, as the changes are being made. If you visit this site on Friday and the site is loading properly, that means the first upgrade was completed successfully. After the upgrade, you should expect to have the site load a bit faster, with a few nice additions here and there as you navigate the different pages.
The second upgrade will be of a different kind; I’ll be giving the photos their own space, soon. The third upgrade will add a feature to this site to allow for more interaction between all members. Please let me know if you have any questions about this. Also, please let me know if there is something you would like to see changed or added on the site.
I am also hoping to try something new: case studies. I am thinking of reviewing different, specific events and trends in both the online and offline world that affect people. We will see how it goes.
