Question: Why do you blog?
Today’s question can be one of the most important questions, if not the most important question, for many bloggers. Why do you blog? If you run a website which is not a blog, why do you run that website?
Different reasons you blog
There could be a lot of reasons why you may be blogging. You may do it for personal reasons, and you may be blogging for non-personal reasons. Some of the specific, different reasons you may blog is because you may want to:
- Write personal opinions to share with others.
- Earn money directly through ads on your blog.
- Keep an online diary.
- Practice skills, such as your writing, recording, and other skills.
- Establish an authority on different topics through your blog.
- Promote your offline business.
- Keep in touch with friends or family, or others online.
- Be like others, since others have blogs too.
- Pass time without being bored, and a blog helps you pass time easily.
- Maintain your job, since it may require you to blog.
- Pass a class, since your class may require you to blog or comment on some classwork-related blog.
So, why do you blog? Why do you own or run any kind of a site? Can you think of others reasons for which you may be blogging?
Please let me know what you think of the above, and what you think of this question. Thank you for reading.

I’ve been tagged once to answer this question, so you can read my answers here: http://www.inspirationbit.com/5-ways-to-get-inspired/
My reasons haven’t much changed since the time I posted those answers.

Hmm.. this makes me think, really, why do I blog?
I think I started cause I wanted to be like everyone else. I was inspired by others, and wanted to be just as good as them.
Then it was a loonng journey of practicing and improving coding and my graphics.
Now, I’d still like to improve my coding and computer-graphics skill, but I’m too lazy. I just want a blog to write about my life, but now recently (as you know) I want to write a bit more diverse and about different topics… still thinking on that one.
I’ve been a bit afraid of going back to my blog the last few days… I have no inspiration and don’t want to touch it at all lol.
Why do you blog, eh Bes? =P

Vivien-inspirationbit, thank you for the comment and for the link to the answer. If I may summarize please, for readers who have not read the link. You blog because of:
Those are some nice reasons. Is there any specific, main reasons, without which you may not want to blog anymore?
Jess, thanks for sharing! That is a nice reason to start a blog for: being inspired by others and wanting to be inspiring to others too.
I am guessing that your journey of improving your coding and graphics may always continue, since usually many people who are good at those things tend to keep experimenting with newer things?
I think you are a great writer, so pursuing that area od writing about variable topics may be very nice. Wow, you say you have no inspiration? That is very strange, since I thought your site and writing was inspiring for other people.
As I asked Vivien above, do you think there is one single reason without which you would stop blogging right away?
Why do I blog? Wow, such a hard question, and so nice of you to ask me something; usually I ask questions without getting anything asked back in return.
I have to think about why I blog, since it could be many reasons, or one main reason: interacting with others, getting to know special people online and thus thinking that blogging is worth it, wanting to express ideas and mentalities so people can abandon ideas and mentalities that suck in my view, etc? I think I will post about it in detail soon. Or does this comment explain it enough for you?
