I am a teen and I have used a great deal of the free dating services out there and many are terrible and some are pretty good. I believe finding love online is a hit or miss much like anything else.

I’ve always had pretty good luck with online dating, but you do have to be careful and selective. In reality its just like the real world. If youre not careful you will get burnt. If you are careful it can be a really great way to meet people.

Hey. I think that these free dating sites are somewhat abused by online marketers. However, the real essence of online dating sites is still living in some good websites. Because this websites are really of help to those single who are really looking for someone to mingle with. Or to take for a date. And there are really success love stories in these site.

I met my husband using an online dating service so obviously I believe it is a terrific medium. There is a strategy to successfully use online dating to your advantage and I write all about it in an Online Dating Book I published this year. For me it was a great way to expand my dating pool. I spent most of my time in bars, restaurant opening, socials and sporting events looking for that one special person, only to find the same "singles" over and over. It also allowed me to drill down and only meet the people (in person) who matched what I was looking for. Most of the time, when you meet in person, it is a let down, your imagination has already made this person into something they can’t possibly live up to.

I have been using online dating sites for about 3 years now. i have met some really nice guys, some real weirdos and a few jerks! I have failed to find a real lasting connection with any men I have met online. I am starting to think that speed dating is the new way to go. Meet 10-12 men in one night and see if there is instant chemistry versus trying to exchange messages a few days, only to meet up days later and be totally disappointed.

1 in 3 people in the UK now use online dating, so the question is not does it work, but which one do you choose. Largely speaking if something seems to good to be true it probably is. Work with a site that inspires your personal interests i.e slick design or attitude etc.

Bear in mind that there are such things as “white label sites “which ruin the whole concept as they share each others data to make money, and have hords of people employed to talk to you to waste your time. So if a site doesnt look very expensive or asks you for lots of things first ie a million clicks and information, dont bother.

That said the model does work in most cases of “decent services” that arent cheesy or make promises which seem unrealistic, such as “meet 80 women now in your road who just happen to want sex tonight!”

In the advent of convergence using online dating can actually be more of an intellectual and 2.0 style courting method.
