Microsoft to increase Hotmail disk storage

Posted in Online by Bes on Jun 23, 2004

Microsoft has decided to increase the storage limits for Hotmail just like Yahoo Mail and Google’s Gmail. Hotmail will now offer 250 mb of disk space for free accounts, compared to the current 2 mb, and 2 GB for its paid accounts, compared to the current 10 mb. These increases in disk space have surely come to surface after Google’s surprising Gmail service was announced and shortly after Yahoo announced the upgrades to its Yahoo Mail disk space options..

The addition in disk space for Hotmail should go into effect in early July. This may make your decision to switch over from your current email account from any of these services to the other a bit harder than before.

    YES YES YES YES YES

Yep, more hotmail space means more space for incoming emails, and less bounces for legit emails [as spam takes up all the disk space]. Too bad the ads will still be there.
