Lyrics for Cruel Summer - Bananarama

Cruel Summer - Bananarama - at Amazon

Hot summer streets
And the pavements are burning
I sit around
Trying to smile but
The air is so heavy and dry
Strange voices are saying
(What did they say)
Things I can’t understand
It’s too close for comfort
This heat has got
Right out of hand

It’s a cruel, (cruel,) cruel summer
Leaving me here on my own
It’s a cruel, (it’s a cruel,) cruel summer
Now you’re gone

The city is crowded
My friends are away
And I’m on my own
It’s too hot to handle
So I got to get up and go

It’s a cruel, (cruel), cruel summer
Leaving me here on my own
It’s a cruel, (it’s a cruel,) cruel summer
Now you’re gone

Gonna feel only it was

It’s a cruel, (cruel), cruel summer
(Leaving me) leaving me here on my own
It’s a cruel, (it’s a cruel,) cruel summer
Now you’re gone

It’s a cruel, cruel summer
Leaving me here on my own
It’s a cruel, cruel summer
Now you’re gone

Gonna feel only it was

It’s a cruel, (cruel), cruel summer
(Leaving me) leaving me here on my own
It’s a cruel, (it’s a cruel,) cruel summer
Now you’re gone

Gonna feel only it was

It’s a cruel, (cruel), cruel summer
(Leaving me) leaving me here on my own
It’s a cruel, (it’s a cruel,) cruel summer
Now…

Lyrics for Somebody Told Me - The Killers

Somebody Told Me - The Killers - at Amazon

Breaking my back just to know your name
Seventeen tracks and I’ve had it with this game
I’m breaking my back just to know your name
But heaven ain’t close in a place like this
Anything goes but don’t blink you might miss
Cause heaven ain’t close in a place like this
I said heaven ain’t close in a place like this
Bring it back down, bring it back down tonight
Never thought I’d let a rumor ruin my moonlight

Well somebody told me
You had a boyfriend
Who looked like a girlfriend
That I had in February of last year
It’s not confidential
I’ve got potential

Ready? Let’s roll onto something new
Taking its toll and I’m leaving without you

Cause heaven ain’t close in a place like this
I said heaven ain’t close in a place like this
Bring it back down, bring it back down tonight
Never thought I’d let a rumor ruin my moonlight

Well somebody told me
You had a boyfriend
Who looked like a girlfriend
That I had in February of last year
It’s not confidential
I’ve got potential
A rushin’, a rushin’ around

Pace yourself from me
I said maybe baby please
But I just don’t know now
When all I wanna do is try

Somebody told me
You had a boyfriend
Who looked like a girlfriend
That I had in February of last year
It’s not confidential
I’ve got potential
A rushin’, a rushin’ around

Somebody told me
You had a boyfriend
Who looked like a girlfriend
That I had in February of last year
It’s not confidential
I’ve got potential
A rushin’, a rushin’ around

Somebody told me
You had a boyfriend
Who looked like a girlfriend
That I had in February of last year
It’s not confidential
I’ve got potential
A rushin’, a rushin’ around

  1. Chelsea :

Er, just realized I commented on the wrong blog entry about the rain. :) I’m quite the bright one, aren’t I?!?

By the way.. since I first came over your blog to tonight, I thought ‘Bes’ was short for Bessie! Apparently not.. :P It would be a little more than awkward for a guy to have the name Bessie… LOL. [is lazy and only got around to reading the about you section tonight.. tsk]

  2. Bes :

lol, don’t worry about it. :)
lol, heh, I’m not Bessie, unfortunately. I have to work on my "about" section more. ;)
