TMR & Nami Tamaki Concert
Lately, I have been collecting information and working on pictures before posting about them, so some events which I write about may have already happened some time ago. Of course, I will mention the dates when they happened [as someone asked in an email recently
]. I went to the Nami Tamaki & TMR concert on May 28th and a signing session alongwith a small party the next day [29th]. The concert, on a Friday, was at the Anaheim Arena, right at Disney World & Disney Land and the Anaheim Convention Center.
There has been a growing interest in Expos involving anime lately, and the concert was part of the Pacific Media Expo, which aims to promote the Asian media and entertainment and its outreach. The Expo did a good job of attracting people to this concert, along with the expo itself, with almost the entire concert sold out and the whole hall packed. Majority of the people were Japanese, then there were Americans and Chinese, and people from some other countries.
The concert was very nice, Nami Tamaki is cute and has a beautiful voice, and TMR has also very good voice. To have anything signed by the singers, you needed to buy merchandise at the concert. I bought a TMR t-shirt, hoping to have it signed by Nami [they only had t-shirts featuring TMR, not Nami; they had Nami merchandise in other forms but I wanted a t-shirt]. The next day, my friend told me to get a sign by TMR [almost 4 hour gap between each signing session], so I went to TMR signing session and got his signature instead. Me and my friend got interviewed about the concert and the signing session by Sony Entertainment for a program in Japan; it should have aired there by now.
Overall, a nice experience, met some new friends above [picture above]. TMR’s next tour is supposed to be in Canada, and he told my friend to recommend her Canadian friends to his concert. Too bad she has no friends living in Canada at the moment.
