If I could, I would spend all nights in the fog. Until, of course, I see someone with a hook.

Starving on Thanksgiving day?

Posted in Life by Bes on Nov 24, 2005

I got invited to several places for thanksgiving tonight, but I can’t drive for more than 5-10 minutes, and I can’t get a ride to these gatherings. Thus, I must spend Thanksgiving at home, writing this post. I got hungry around 3 pm today. All the nearby restaurants are closed, and even the junk food places have taken a day off from microwaving the food. Pizza Hut couldn’t deliver a pizza to me in the morning, and Wendy’s was closed when I called the nearby location. I don’t want to take the bus to save me the hassle of driving around for hours trying to find a place to eat a burger.

How about opening up a few locations of each food chain at least so that people who may be looking for a place to eat, don’t starve? Not everyone gets a chance to kill a bird every year, you know. How about keep something open so that you can attract the people who are looking for a place to eat? It’s less competition, and you can at least earn good points for your food place in the minds of those who thought they couldn’t eat out today, and found your place and had a good meal. In reality, however, no one is open nearby; forget competition. No one wants to compete. It’s probably a good thing that everyone wants to enjoy their Thanksgiving. I guess this is why one learns how to cook different delicacies?

So I was joking with my friend Emily about eating turkeys, and now I have to finish one to survive the night myself. *gobble gobble*

Guess a turkey must fall asleep to feed the belly. Hmmmmmmm.

    Sorry :(

You know, on our way home I noticed that the Hardee’s I used to work at was open, that must have been 7.30pm and they weren’t the only ones. That’s strange considering how my location differs from yours, I would expect more places near you to be open than here.

Yes, interesting. I couldn’t find a single fast food place nearby that was open. Your place rocks, in my view. :D
