Messages, messages, and more priorities
As of this very minute, 2:15 AM PST, I have more than 200 emails that I have to respond to. I have over 10 missed calls that I need to call back. I have over 10 voice mails, on my cell and landline combined, that I need to respond to. I have, on top of that, several notes from different people through different mediums [online and offline] that I need to address. Majority of the people I need to get back to need something that is not important at all; a phone number of someone they haven’t talked to for a while, some website address to watch something funny to pass time, things like those.
When it comes to dealing with others, it all comes down to priorities. There are many things that can be done in life, yet life itself is short. Thus, we have priorities, and if we don’t, we need to make some. If you want something from someone or need others to listen to you, you should have something important to say. If you want something, you should make your request sound extremely interesting. Whether or not one is selfish is besides the point; how you do something sometimes counts more than what is being done. Even if what you want is really weird, make it so appealing, your request that is, so that the listener is in a trance and they would want to help you from the bottom of their endless heart.
Here is a picture taken at Berkeley on March 26th, 2006, of a campus bulletin board that’s riddled with notices and information regarding student organizations and off campus advertisement. Imagine life being something along the same lines; everything is being pasted onto the wall, and you have your life to go through as many things as possible. If you were in charge of that wall and had to find the most important things from it in order to pass time wisely, you would usually not go through each and every posting. You would probably go through the more colorful ones, or the ones that have a big font and stand out. That is how life itself is in reality.

You’ve been busy since you have more things to do and a dental horror appointment to recover from, so it’s ok. :p If I went to the dentist and I had pain, oh my LORD, I don’t know how I would be able to even go online.
Thanks!
Chau — > Heeeeheeeee, yeah.
Today I had even more emails, check out the new post with the picture. Priorities rock and they suck, but they help, I think.
That bulletin board is one of the many bulletin boards there; next time I go there, I’ll try to take the picture of every bulletin board I can find or something, heh.
The bulletin board at my uni aren’t filled up either, I think, hmmmm.
