If I could, I would spend all nights in the fog. Until, of course, I see someone with a hook.

Forgetting to lock the car

Posted in Life by Bes on Nov 15, 2005

A friend of mine has a very interesting habit; whenever we ride together in a car, he always forgets to lock his door unless I’m checking. My car doesn’t have an automatic lock system, and thus needs to be locked manually [no "beep beep" key chains with controls]. He laughs over this all the time, and sometimes I do too; it is funny how the door always turns out to be unlocked whenever I’m not checking.

We went out today to a few places, and the first 2 places we stopped at, I checked to make sure he locked his door, and he did. At the 3rd spot I didn’t check, and surely enough when we got back, the door wasn’t locked. I wonder if his mind is unconsciously telling him to do the exact opposite of what I want him to do?

Hi Jodi. If I understand what you’re refering to, I would prefer to have my car locked than to leave one of the doors open in a public parking area for several hours. :)
