If I could, I would spend all nights in the fog. Until, of course, I see someone with a hook.

Back from the trip into 2006

Posted in Life by Bes on Jan 04, 2006

Thank you all for your comments, emails and Christmas cards. :D I appreciate everything, and I’ve to say, you’re all the best. It was very nice for everyone to keep in touch in one way or the other. I missed all of you a lot, and I missed your websites also. It felt as if a normal daily routine that I liked and a way to keep in touch with special people like you all was missing when I didn’t have access to a computer. I’ll do my best to visit everyone and start reading your sites within a day or two, hopefully, and also return your comments. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and had a very nice New Year’s day. On top of that, I wish everyone had a wonderful day, everyday, since the time I was gone till today, and I hope everyone will continue to have a wonderful day from today onward also. :)
I’m back, as you may have guessed. My Christmas eve and New Year’s was spent getting stuck at Oakland airport for around 8 hours, getting in and out of the plane twice and then having the flight canceled because of extreme weather conditions [rain and fog] in Oakland and Long Beach. They were the nights to remember, yes. One needs to remember them to make sure one doesn’t try to remember such things in the future.

Overall, even with the Christmas Eve and New Year’s airport situations, I had a good time and good experience on this trip. The weather was very violent, and the rain poured as if it was necessary for sustaining life. It was very beautiful. It’s sometimes good to step away from things, even if you wish to be with them. Take the example of a car engine, even though it’s not the perfect example; life is like a car; you have to give the car a rest, otherwise the parts will wear out or the engine will overheat. Right now, I’m taking 2 hard-core, extreme and intense winter session courses that are 4 hours each and every weekday, one in the morning and one at night. These classes are what you recommend to your foes in order to get rid of them or to make them insane. This torture continues all the way up to the 26th of this month. In addition to all of this, I’m trying to work full time also.

I’m mentioning this not to complain [hmmmm, or am I?], but to say that my posting schedule should be back to normal in a different way. I’ll try to post as much as I can, as it seems posting on the site will be the only form of relaxation or relief from the burden that I’ve put on myself. My posts may be really long or really short, or my posts may be around midnight or so to fulfil the posting requirement.

I’ve many stories and encounters to share with you. I also have many pictures from the trip, and will be posting them up soon and explaining what they’re all about. I’m not a world class photographer like Otto K, and having someone else’s digital camera which has menus in a different language makes things even more interesting. Therefore, my pictures will look as if they’ve been taken by a 5 year old [the way my pictures always look]. In short, my pictures will look crappy. I hope you enjoy them even then.

In any case, I’m back, and thank you for being wonderful to me directly and my site indirectly; I really appreciate it. :)

  5. Christmas and New Year eve plans for 2006 at The Penguin Chronicles :

[...] I’ll be traveling this Christmas eve to San Francisco for another operation, so it might take a while before I respond to comments. If I manage to get access to a computer and all goes well, I might be able to post while I’m traveling. Last Christmas and New Year’s eve were interesting, and for me, this year puts the best of movies, TV dramas and circuses to shame, so I’m hoping things will go well from now on. [...]
