Keeping your cool on Europe’s hottest beaches

If like the rest of us the beach is at the centre of your holiday you’ll know the trials and tribulations we go through to find that perfect destination to rival paradise. But once we get there it’s certainly worth it.

Once you’ve picked your spot there are just a few things to get sorted before it’s beach time. Make sure you buy holiday insurance that covers your valuables so you don’t have to worry about dropping your camera in the sand when taking those action shots and finally buy euros before you travel so you can start enjoying yourself as soon as you reach your destination.
Take a look at the hottest beaches in Europe. Pick which one’s your favourite and remember to stay cool.

Cala d’en Serra, Ibiza

Cala Den Serra, IbizaIt’s only a stone’s throw away from the infamous Cala Llonga beach resort but far more private and secluded. With a restaurant and beach bar built into the rocky cliffs that surround the bay this stunning beach offers all the glitter and glamour of Ibiza but in a far more exclusive surrounding.

Expect to chill out to laid back, funky beats with a Mojito (or two) while you gaze over the stunning views of Ibiza’s southern coastline. Get to the beach early to secure the perfect spot and watch the beautiful sunrise from what is said to be one of the best spots on the island.

Canos de Meca, Spain

Off of the beaten track and busting with a boho vibe, this beach has a relaxed sixties feel to complement its completely unspoilt landscape. It’s not all just about the relaxing though, Canos de Meca’s strong winds make it an ideal location for boarders and surfers who visit the beach for the big waves and even bigger cliffs that frame the sands forming stunning scenery in the form of steep shelves and lush pine trees. Snorkelers and scuba divers will also find an abundance of life to discover beneath the waves.

Priaia del Fuoco, Italy

If a little romance is what you are after then you can’t get a much more perfect setting than the secluded beach at Priaia del Fuoco on the coast of Southern Italy. Only accessible by boat or a precarious rocky path this beach is the ultimate secret cove to sunbathe on soft sands and float in marine blue waters with that special someone.
