The world of cell phone bills
Cell phones are amazing gadgets. Not only do they allow you to communicate with anyone anywhere, they also allow you to rupture your wallet in ways not imaginable before. Take my cell phone as an example. It’s a Samsung SGH-x495 phone built for the T-mobile network that cost me $225.47 to use for the last 27 days. Even though that amount is less than the previous record of $559.01, it still warrants hiding the wallet or the cell phone in a secret place while one is drunk, so that the chances of finding either things ever again are slim to none.
This is the new age of confusion. Before, you used to get charged for talking to psychics over the phone, or even supposedly beautiful people. Now, you get charged for talking to anyone over the phone, even if you’re calling your ownself to check your voicemail. No longer does the quality of a phone call count when it comes to charging a cell phone user; the bill starts rolling once the cell phone starts doing anything. Whether it’s playing online games or sending text messages or calling to check your messages, you pay for everything. Do you keep hearing “Free nights and weekends?” from every cell phone network out there? How can something be free when that’s the exact thing you pay for in your monthly bill?
What is the highest bill you have paid so far? If you have any opinion on this, please let me know below.

LOL funny i just brought this up in a comment on your blog for transactin fee’s.
Highest bill i ever paid was $300 and that was for paying 2 months in advance and whatever hoopla cingular said.
My phone cost me around $500 at the time, its a Nokia 6620 that i bought straight from the manufacturer, too bad they charged me twice for it, glad my bank and Nokia cleared that up pretty quickly
I always warn people dont text that number on the tv screen or in the magazine for no free horoscopes or whatever because you will be charged out the *** and notice most dont tell u what to do to cancel right away, LOL
My monthly bill is about $90 a month they charge me for the net 5mb of downloading, my 1500 text messages and unlimited "FREE" multimedia messages and i got over 2000 minutes or whatever.
Goddamn at your higheest bill paid :O

A $500 phone; did it have a tv built in? That’s a lot of money. Was the $500 including the two charges, or they charged you $1000 by accident?
Heh, I see those ads on TV too, where you have to text message to get a horoscope or something.
You seem to have a good plan, even though $90 is a bit too much unless you use the cell phone for business or other purposes also.

Im with Quest my bill yesterday with Internet, a land line, and WIRELESS was $699.49, needless to say I want to die. anybody have any suggestions on how to maybe lower this besides stop talking.

I was doing a few upgrades and fixes along with some thinking, so I apologize for late reply.
That is A LOT, sorry to hear that! Did you pay it? One way to lower the cost is to get the most expensive element, like the internet or the wireless, from a separate company. Can you break down the bill for me/us please? For example, how much the internet cost, the land line, the wireless, taxes/etc.
Thanks again, and I hope you don’t pay that much anymore! Here [Norther and Southern California], for all those 3 including TV, you can pay less than $200 and get everything.
