Thanks for sharing the example Ronalfy. That is very interesting to know. I was not aware of the refund check by mail option. Also, you are right about scams; they do happen and managers have to make sure the return is for a legitimate reason.

		<description>I used to work at Walgreens and one of the things that people always wanted to bring back were the breast pumps.  Due to health reasons, we could not actually issue a refund for the item.  The item had to be sent back to the manufacturer for a refund.

At Walgreens, the managers generally give you a hard time if you don't have a receipt, but you can always request a "refund check by mail."  If the manager doesn't offer you that, or doesn't allow you to take it, the manager is violating corporate policy.

One must understand that retail managers deal with mostly scams and some actual returns.  The trick is to be able th tactfully tell who the scammers are and who the legitimate customers are.  

A lot of the scammers grab receipts out of the trashcan, walk into the store, and pick the item off of the shelf and try returning it.  So if you are a customer and are throwing away a receipt, at least rip it up first.</description>
