One movie stub for two people
The weekend for me started Friday night, when I had the time to breath and enjoy more. I’ve started visiting a few sites thoroughly, so expect me to be on your site soon. I watched Grandma’s Boy Friday night with a friend. My friend, being unique, took the bottom part of my ticket stub and got into the theatre for free. You can always tell the person tearing the ticket stubs “I don’t know, you must have given me the bottom part, and I just went out to meet a friend.”
If you pay with cash, it’s hard to track down such a purchase, and even if you paid with a credit card, it’s a hassle to go through the trouble of going into the ticket office, getting your manager and then going through the system to find out more details through the number that’s imprinted on every ticket stub, both the top and bottom parts. If in the end it turns out that you did buy the ticket, the theatre and management will owe you a huge apology and things wouldn’t look good, so the staff, mostly college students, tend to let it slip unless there’s concrete proof that one didn’t buy that specific ticket stub.
How about you; have you ever done something like that?

Wow, I would never do that!! Hehe, I’m not that kind of person to do anything like that… But that’s cool that your friend is… Hehehe…

Valerie — > lol. And also, it’s easy : whenever you get a movie ticket stub, you can always go out of the theatre. You always keep a part of the ticket whenever you go into a theatre, and if you go out, you can always come back in, show your half of the ticket which had already been torn and say "I already came in before and went out to do this or that."
They’ll [the staff] look at the ticket and let you in. My friend basically implied that the staff had kept the wrong half of the ticket, and thus they let him in.
Chau — > Yes, I didn’t try it either. Though, if my friend or friends keep getting in through my ticket, I should charge them. Or maybe I’ll soon get the urge to try it myself, maybe.
