If I could, I would spend all nights in the fog. Until, of course, I see someone with a hook.

Mickey Mouse charges more for autographs

Posted in General by Bes on Mar 28, 2004

Disney is increasing the prices for its DisneyLand and the California Adventure by $ 2.75 for each ticket. The price increase reflects the aim to recover the losses that have stemmed in the last two years from people having a fear of going to amusement parks. It also reflects that the current economy is not the optimal setting for the amusement parks.

Disneyland is not the only place to increase the ticket prices. San Diego SeaWorld and Universal Orlando have also been increasing their prices in the last two years to recover from the loss of repeating consumer base.

At this rate, the current increase in ticket prices by Disney is ahead of the current inflation rate ; 96% compared to 48%.

Accord Guy, thanks for sharing. I think those prices have gone up even higher this year, because of the popularity of their 50th anniversary year. I think it is brilliant business model that needs to be executed a bit more sharply so that losses can be reduced on all levels.

Do you, or have you ever, gone to DisneyLand or any of its parks?
