Meme - Ten unknown habits
[Update - I had accidentally written "I do not fake my smile." instead of what I wanted to write in point # 4, which shows how point # 6 affects me. Thank you for pointing it out Nicole. I talk about faking smiles in point # 10. I have updated point # 4 as of 02/13/07 - 8:42 AM PST. Sorry for any confusion.]
I got tagged for a meme by Vera. This is a bit similar to the last meme I was tagged for, “5 things about me.” You may also want to read my post I wrote which explains what memes are.
Here are the rules as Vera describes them:
Vera describes the ten unknown habits meme
Each player of this game starts off with ten weird things or habits or little known facts about yourself. People who get tagged must write in a blog of their own ten weird things or habits or little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. At the end you must choose six people to be tagged and list their names. No tagbacks!
Following are the ten unknown habits that I have probably not mentioned before [personal stuff], and after that are the 6 people I would like to request participation from for this meme.
- I prefer not having ice in anything I drink.
- I prefer night to day.
- I look forward to rainy days.
- I respect people based on what they do [mental, verbal and physical] and what they avoid doing [mental, verbal and physical], and not who they are.
- I have at least 2 confirmed stalkers who became obsessed with me because of this website.
- After writing something for the first time, I always like to rewrite everything again in order to have smaller and clearer sentences, even though I sometimes find it boring to read what I have written already since I already know what I wrote.
- One of the reasons I like the internet is because it has the potential to treat everyone equally, and such a mentality can hopefully flow back to the offline world. Whether or not we actually use such a potential is up to us.
- I love actors who make you focus on the story and not the acting. Same thing goes with special effects. The minute someone starts to think during a movie “Wow, that is good acting” or “Amazing special effects“, as is the case with most recent movies, I start to realize that the acting and special effect was not good enough to be realistic. You should only realize that something was good only when you step back and realize that it is a movie you are watching, and not a documentary.
- I like cats and I also object, while trying to understand, their usual habit of playing with food before the kill.
- I do not fake my smile. I do not like people faking their smile all the time also. For me, smiling simply because it is a nice thing to do is fake. Smiling when saying “Hi, how are you?” should be a real one. If you have to pretend to smile, you are faking it. Try to leave your worries behind and focus on that moment of interaction with other people as a way to forget your stress, whatever it may be, and thus put on a real smile since you are so happy to be focusing on something not stressful.
I would like to tag Ashley, Suki, Mike, Nicole, Ronalfy and Vixx. I know everyone is busy and many people do not participate in memes anymore. So even though I have to tag other people, I do not expect you to participate. Your participation in my site by reading my entries is already more than enough for me.

Hey! Glad everything is working again :).
Interesting facts =)! Yeah, no ice? Even if its like in the summer? O_O haha. I only like rainy days when I’m sad haha XD! Sort of like “pathetic fallacy” eep! Ooh, stalkers =p..better watch out! Ah, I don’t like the fact that cats play with their prey before killing them either.. eww!

I like what you chose to share with us. It’s nice to be able to get to know you a little better.
I could relate to quite a few of your facts.
1. No ice in drinks, I am the same way. Do you get weird stares when you’re asked if you want ice and you say no? Or do you get people trying to “persuade” you to have some ice because the drink is warm (it’s usually not warm to me. :P)?
2. I like night much more than day, but I am also a very early morning person.
3. Rainy days are beautiful.
4. I think you might mean “fake” judging by your other bit of “fake smiles” If I’m right, I am the same way. I’m often told to at least act like I like someone by smiling and “being friendly”, but I just can’t.
5. Stalkers… Don’t even get me started. Blah.
6. I can sort of relate to that one. I usually won’t re-write everything, but I re-read it way too many times, and I usually end up changing much of the wording.
Anyway, thanks again for sharing, and also, thank you for tagging me. I will do this meme soon. (I love memes :P)

Vera, thank you. I am glad too my ‘net is working again.
Well, if it is summer, then may be I can use ice to cool the liquid down. However, I think I would prefer the ice to have melted and disappeared before drinking.

Nicole, thank you. It is sometimes hard to share personal things, regardless of their level of importance.
Good to know that I am not the only human being in the universe who does not like ice. Yes, sometimes when I request that they put no ice, restaurant people ask me twice with wide open eyes to make sure I did not just say that without thinking what it meant. And yes, people always tell me something like “Ice will make it cold, otherwise it’s gonna be too warm”, heh.
Rainy days and the night is beautiful. Since yesterday I have been an early morning person [5 am] because of some things I have to do in this new place.
About the “take smiles”, sorry, you are right. I meant something else. I have updated the list now.
I also end up changing a lot of things I have written, which is good in my opinion.
