[...] I’ve been waiting for a refund check from my university for about a month now. I was told last month that I would get it by the middle of June. When I didn’t get anything in the mail for 2 weeks, I contacted the refunds department and was told that the check hadn’t been mailed yet because of the end of the fiscal year. I was told to wait another week. I waited for almost two weeks after that, checking every piece of mail as if it was my only purpose in life. I went to the refunds office again afterwards to see what was going on. After checking on the computer for about 10 minutes, the front desk staff at the office told me that the refund check would be mailed on Friday, which was last Friday. I was told to wait another week for the check. The University is less than two miles from my home, so I assumed that I would get the check in the mail within 3 to 4 days. While there are instances when mail sent from one part of the state to another is delayed, the United States Postal Service (USPS) claims that it usually takes them about 3 business days to deliver any mail within the same city, sometimes sooner. Today marks another week already, and I still have no check. I called the refunds office early this morning to let them know that I was getting really old waiting for this refund. The lady over the phone responded by saying “sometimes the mail takes a long time to get to its destination.” I asked her if the check was being mailed from the University or from Alaska.
Jerine -- > That is weird too! So it happens in different places also.

Hmmm, good luck on ebay. It's a good place to unload stuff and to make money also.

Heh! Yes please, I want some graffiti. ;) I like the design.

JeSs -- > Yeah, those carts are interesting. You should take a pic sometime, of carts and other things. btw, I'm still alive. : ) I replied to your email ;)

There should be a rule that when a regular parcel or something sent via normal mail gets delivered really late, there should be a refund or something for the sender/customer.

Chau -- > Yes, they did. It was very weird indeed. Yes, the ads on buses are changing. I should focus on them sometime too. : )

Valerie -- > Heh, yeah, I guess. I sent somethings to New Orleans a few weeks before the hurricanes hit and they never got there. I even went there, while I was nearby on my red cross work trip and asked the nearby post offices and no one knew where those things were. The receivers never got anything, which sucks. They should at least track shipments or something all the time or for such things.

so far 2 bids on the eBay and i earned US$17. not bad.
