First site upgrade finished
The first upgrade for the site is now complete. It took a few hours while I changed almost every file and added some custom code to it. Had it not been for Jerine talking to me about different things, I would have had a really boring time. It actually turned out to be very good; I’ll try to get Jerine to talk to me whenever I do something that might end up being boring.
After using Nucleus CMS for around 5 years and modifying almost every file it had in order to have the output I wanted, I’ve now switched over to WordPress and started to heavily modify it also. The entire site now runs on a different code. If you register or are already a registered user, you should see more options in your control panel related to posting on this site. In addition to that, you might notice a few small changes while reading the posts, like easier to read fonts and a more consistent coloring system across different kinds of text. I’ll tweak more things and add more features as time passes.
Please let me know if you notice anything that should be changed, fixed or if you had something in mind that you would like to see added to the site. If you notice something general about the site, like a difference in the site speed, please let me know in that case also. The 2nd site upgrade should happen within a few weeks, may be sooner. Sorry I’ve been MIA soooo long…I’ve finally started to feel the pressure of the pending last quarters + graduation + loan repayments….gahh….adulthood is so not cool.

Btw, hopefully my domain (slightly-amused.com) will be back up and running within 2 months (crossing fingers)…I didn’t realize that the MSQL crashed a few months ago! I think I’m going to turn the site into a layouts & icons freebie community.
Gotta start looking for some amusement now that I’m *nearly* done with school.

I now try to make sql backups regularly. Wow, that would be a new direction for the site, let’s see how it goes.
