Viral Hoax Groups on facebook09.29.06

If one hundred people join this group, I’ll travel to Darfur and donate a lot of money there.” That’s what one group administrator claims on his group page. Another one promises to send someone to college if 50 thousand people join a certain group. Still, another one claims that the group creator will donate $1 for each 100 members to a worthy cause. These groups are all springing up on Facebook, and majority of them are clearly viral groups that are nothing more than simple jokes or hoaxes that can never be verified nor disputed. The funny thing is that people are actually buying into such stories.

T-mobile order and pricing; Missing in Action09.25.06

I called T-mobile a week ago on Monday to get a new camera phone. I pressed 611 via my current Samsung x495 and asked the lady on the other end about the deals they had on camera phones. Within a minute I was told that I qualified for a phone for only $9.99, and it sold in stores for $199. I’ve had several Samsung phones before. Each one had its ups and downs, but overall I’ve been satisfied with Samsung phones.

September progress in progress09.25.06

With no new posts for a while, it seems the blog is dead. A blog never dies until the site goes down completely or a “bubye” notice is put up.

I’ve been swimming through health issues and have time to come on and only post short notes or a picture or two on places like facebook.

I’ll post here soon. Thank you for taking advantage of the archives in the meantime.

5 benefits of posting comments on an empty stomach09.15.06

Hmmm, here I am. Really hungry. Hunger is a very good thing. It makes you appreciate the food you usually call “sucky-veggy.” It also makes you appreciate the feeling you have when you are not in a hurry and have a lot of time to joke around in a comment. When you’re dying to eat a dead animal, you don’t feel like playing around with comments. You just want to get them done with. If your concept of a comment is itself about being nice and being funny or informative, you’ll avoid beating around the bush and instead will actually write something that probably won’t be edited by you repeatedly. Since your hunger will prevent you from playing around too much, you probably wouldn’t need to edit a comment even if it needed an edit. That’s what I’m going to do from now on, I think. I’ll post comments when I’m hungry in addition to my regular schedule, which is to post comments whenever I’m not having a doctor touch me. Good schedule, no?

Reacting to civilian and police cell-phone drivers09.11.06

Ever seen someone get annoyed at other drivers for talking on cell phones? These annoyed drivers will sometimes go to great lengths to let the other drivers, who are blabbing on their cell phones, know that talking on the cell phone will grab the attention of those annoyed drivers. They’ll honk and they’ll drive next to the cell-phone drivers just to grab their attention. They’ll show fingers of all sorts to annoy the other driver also, as if driving fast and showing fingers while driving fast was safer and nicer than talking on a cell phone. Now, do you think these annoyed drivers have the same courage to honk and show fingers of all sorts at cops who are driving and talking on a cell phone?

The return of death through online messages09.10.06

Gone are the winds that bring the feeling for change. That’s what I think these days. Feelings for a change don’t do much good anyhow; either one makes a difference, or one doesn’t. Either one becomes mature, or one doesn’t. Either one does something, or one doesn’t. Either one tries to make a difference, or either one doesn’t. Having a feeling amounts to nothing; I can have a feeling that I want to save someone who is dying on the side of the street. If I keep walking and that person dies, that feeling didn’t do any good, nor did it do any bad; it just didn’t do anything. Most of the people do, however, pretend to themselves all the time that the winds of changes exist around them that result only in feelings and nothing more. These people also consider themselves staunch supporters of causes that they don’t understand. However, most of the people love to consider themselves staunch supporters of causes that they don’t understand. It’s simply the cool thing to do when you’re not capable of anything in life on your own.

Begging for money while listening to your iPod09.01.06

People usually make money through two ways. One is through work, and the other is through asking for money. Working usually requires working for a specific task and getting compensation in return. Asking for money usually occurs when one asks someone for money. One is usually borrowing money when asking for it from others. People tend to think that borrowing money is justified simply because of the severity of a situation. Many people do not stop to think that the assets they already have can be sold for cash, like laptops, iPods, or even small things like watches. People are not willing to part with these expensive things simply because of the convenience of having them, yet they expect others to make a sacrifice by giving them money.
