Friend, dinner invitation, and spit in the food04.30.06

Someone I know works as a waitress at a Thai restaurant. She wanted to go out with me long time ago, but I didn’t feel like being more than friends with her, so I remained a friend. Usually, every few months, I meet and ask her about her experience with the customers at her work. She always tells me that if she doesn’t like someone, she tries to mix something in their food. Sometimes it’s extra salt, sometimes it’s extra spices and sometimes it’s some spit in the water or the drink. Yes, spit with S and a P and I and a T. It makes her feel better, she says.

You standing in express lines at the movies04.28.06

Have you ever bought a movie ticket online through services like Fandango or MovieTickets.com? Have you ever decided to buy yourself a ticket in person through the express lanes at the movies? These lanes contain an ATM like machine where you insert your credit card in order to buy a ticket. Now, have you noticed that such things are intended to save you the hassle of standing in a long line to buy a ticket, yet there are long lines for such lines also?

Your experience with smiling workers at a restaurant04.27.06

Have you ever seen those ads on TV that show you a specific restaurant and a smiling waiter, waitress or a host that can’t wait to help you? On TV, these people define a smile, with their grins extending from one ear to another. In reality, when you go to that specific restaurant, you are not always greeted by someone with a smile.

Local mail slower than international mail04.27.06

Someone mailed me a letter from Berkeley last week. They also mailed a letter on the exact same day and at the exact same time to Japan. They sent both letters using the normal postal mail option, which is the most affordable mailing option available.

Limiting of drive thrus in your city04.26.06

I went to Carls Jr. after a long day. I do not like junk food anymore, though when I’m really hungry and there is not much in the fridge at night, junk food is seductive. I went to a nearby location that was open and noticed that there was no drive thru. I parked the car and went in.

The rain comes when I’m not around04.23.06

So I wait for the rain for several days, hoping it would bring the dark skies with it also. When does it finally rain? During the 2 hours I was inside a movie theatre watching a movie just a few hours ago.

Programs hanging in windows04.22.06

I hate Windows. I really do. But it’s a different kind of hating. It’s the kind of hating when you realize there’s another ideal program out there, may be like the Mac OS, which is supposedly better. Take Free Download Manager, for example. The thing would take over every download I ever have, even though I tell it otherwise through the options menu. The damn thing was ordered to be uninstalled about 3 hours ago, since I don’t like any kind of stupid intrusion from software that should sit quietly and be happy that I even have it on my computer.

To password protect, or not to password protect?04.21.06

Password protected entries always interest me. Such entries probably contain something that might offend someone, or they might contain some information that should be known only by an elite few, or something that should not be known to a certain few. I’ve been thinking of having password protected entries for a while, though I’m not sure if keeping some information hidden will suit my taste?

Junk food, and being hit on04.20.06

So, come on, drive faster. It’s bright and sunny, and free parking spots are hard to find. Come on, drive drive drive drive. Someone has to leave. Someone will leave. If no one leaves, I’ll make someone leave. Aaah, here we go! An empty spot, E28, perfect. No big deal. Come on, walk faster. This shirt looks really nice. Walk walk walk.

Would you like to see different kind of entries? Would you like to see more pictures? Would you like to see more personal stories? Would you like to see more social commentary? Would you like to see more humor? Would you like to see more complaints? Would you like to see more pictures, and if you do, what kind of pictures? Is there anything that you don’t like on this site? Is there anything that you would like to be improved on the site?

Anything that comes to your mind, please let me know. I’ll try to incorporate those changes right away. Thank you for reading and coming to my site. : )
