I like that title. Brush your teeth at least two times a day to keep the doctor away. Even Dracula on Sesame Street said that and he loved red apples, remember? However, I’ve noticed a recent trend in the last year by visiting a few friends and spending sometime with them. A few of the people I know finish brushing their teeth in under half a minute while I’m waiting for them to get ready to go out.

Brushing for a better breath, and other misuses in life
Advertising and educating
I was reading a newspaper advertisement for Fry’s Electronics today. A new store is opening nearby, and they have a huge grand opening sale going on. I like that chain of stores, as sometimes they have really good deals on electronics. I usually consult a few people before buying electronics, and was showing some of the ads to a good friend of mine, Stapled, when I saw an ad that did not mention the screen size of an LCD monitor for sale.

Campus Parking woes are here to stay
For the past 5 months, most of the parking at my university has been in chaos. A new parking structure is under construction over an already working parking lot, and another parking structure that was finished last year seems to be having parking “incidents” almost everyday. The university has been planning on improving the parking for over a year, and they started right when this busy semester started. In summer of this year, almost no one used the parking lots, giving the administration a chance to fix the parking issues. Instead, the campus came out with the idea of having a fair with Ferris wheels and other “attractions” in the parking lots, to earn some return. The result? Nobody showed up, and the entire “festival” was a waste of money and a missed opportunity to fix the parking lots.

Banking relationships and headaches
Have you ever deposited money into your account through the ATM? Your bank will typically allow you to use up to $100 of the deposit amount instantly. That way, the bank can later on verify that you actually did deposit the amount you specified and are not trying to “take advantage” of the whole process, or else sue you and everything you stand for.

Shrunk clothes and long shirts
I washed some clothes on a different setting than usual yesterday; on “HOT COLD” option. Somehow, one of my shirts shrank in a weird way, and I didn’t notice until I wore it today. The arms of the shirt are the same size as before, but the shirt length itself is smaller and, hmmm, how to put it, tighter. It’s like new fashion by having a smaller shirt with long arm lengths, and looks very interesting.
Too bad, I don’t like throwing out clothes.
Synchronizing contacts
I have my address book and calendar spread over several platforms. Outlook, Yahoo and Hotmail all have different addresses and calendar appointments for me. Right now, I’m trying to consolidate everything into Palm Desktop, and it’s proving to be a hassle.

Enhanced latest comments area
Another small update : I’ve created a section with the last 100 comments. You can find it in the link right above the latest comments on the left hand menu of this site.
It should prove useful for many, including myself, when one wants to see where their last comment was, or what the latest comments have been about. Now, you can browse the last 10 comments directly from the menu on the left, or see the last 100 comments on this page.
Enjoy!
“Holla” through networking sites
MySpace, Xanga, Friendster, hi5, Facebook, Xuqa. How many social/friends networking sites are you part of? With so many websites going around, and millions of members on each site, which one do you go to? Which one do you use to keep in touch with your friends? The answer is simple: you keep in touch with all of your friends through all of these sites, or only a few friends when you stick to a few sites. Unless 2 networks start allowing their members to communicate with each other, we’re going to have more and more networks popping up, boasting millions of members and making it even harder for people to keep in touch easily. I have friends who are scattered over different sites, and it’s a huge mission to keep in touch with everyone through these networks. It’s possible to keep in touch; it’s just not easy.

Profile updated
Blanca over at CuteButEvil told me a while ago that she couldn’t find much personal information about me on this site, and I agree. I’ve updated the profile to include the three most requested pieces of information: name [you all probably already know this], gender [again, many of you are aware of this] and age. Though this information isn’t required to read anything on this site, it may give an insight as to who I am [hmmm].
If you know anything you want to see, please let me know.
