Sleepy after eating fast food

I have a question for everyone. When you’re tired and eat a fruit or homemade food, you get the energy and feel relaxed and can do things. When you eat junk food after being tired, you feel sleepy for a while. I feel so sleepy sometimes after eating Carl’s Jr., it feels like as if I’m sleepy because of medications.

I’ve noticed this for a while now; how about you?. Maybe it’s just me, or maybe it’s the entire human race. Anyone knows why? Is McDonald’s really putting white powder in my cheeseburgers?

Posting schedule from December 2005

It’s time to specify a schedule at which I’ll post on this site. I’ve decided that one post a day, minimum, is what would make me happy, and it should hopefully make you happy.

Writing for your class

When you are a very young kid, you are told to write by your teachers and parents. “But I don’t wanna write“, you cry, and you write. Growing up, you develop a liking for writing, but don’t want to write long pages. Your parents and teachers tell you to write several pages on your own. “But I think 2 pages are enough“, you frown, and you write.

Microsoft Word and temporary files

I was working on a Word document that I’d saved on my desktop. The document has a lot of few pages, and as I was writing, I kept going back to change things I’d written already. After I was finished with the entire document, I saved it and minimized the Word screen to find something else on my desktop, and behold! I saw over a 100 temporary files on my desktop, created by Word to save the changes and edits I’d made on my document.

Waiting time on the phone for new and old customers

Try calling the technical support of any phone company you use, whether for a cell phone or the landline, and see how long you have to wait to report a problem.

Now try calling the sales department of the same company to sign up for a new account.

The technical support call is answered in no less than 3 minutes, while your call to the sales department is answered in less than 45 seconds.

What’s going on here?

Secret guy admirer on hi5

I just received an email from hi5 asking me to rejoin their network. I’ve been receiving such emails every few days now. Apparently, there are some people on that network that know me and want me to get back on the network. I deleted my hi5.com account a while back, and back then no one knew much about me through the network.

My uncomfortable friend

I’ve a friend who likes to hang out with me a lot. This is the same friend you’ve read about here lately. Whenever we go somewhere, he loves to talk and loves having a good time. Whenever he hangs out with any of my other friends, however, he’s always quiet and bored. He doesn’t talk to them and he doesn’t interact with any of the other people. He keeps looking around, and lately has been excusing himself for the restrooms or to talk someone on the cell phone.

Music 4 Music – Episode 8, Volume 1

Here you go: the next installment of music. There are two songs in this post again; one is Annie Lennox’s [Eurythmic] “Here comes the rain again“, and the other is the original version of “Listen to your heart” by DHT.

Thanksgiving & the loose shirt button

I was invited to a thanksgiving party today, and I had a ride this time. I dressed up nicely, and had new clothes on along with a very nice black shirt with nice buttons. I like to keep my shirt out often, and today was no exception. As I arrived at the party place with my ride, however, I realized that I had somehow broken the last bottom button on my shirt.

Car gas preference?

I saw two gas stations on Wednesday, an Arco and a Shell, on opposite sides of a busy street. Both were offering the lowest gas at $2.29. However, the Arco station was completely empty, while the Shell Station was almost full.

Do you prefer a certain kind of gas for your car, or do you know someone who doesn’t like a certain brand? All gas stations have the same grade of gas available, as required by law. I frequently hear about how Arco is bad for engines, but I have yet to see a real live example or evidence pointing to this. What do you think? Even if you don’t have a car, do you look at different gas stations differently?
